Yay, we had a player play yesterday!
Dylan Holloway was back in the lineup against the Swiss today after resting an upper-body injury on the 27th against the Slovaks. In his second game of the round robin, Holloway played well. He wasn’t on the scoresheet in a 10-0 win for Canada, but he was forechecking extremely well and his backchecking is probably the best on the team. The 14th overall pick plays a massive defensive role for Canada, he starts on almost every penalty kill, and will be leaned on heavily in the medal rounds.
Holloway didn’t get his first 5 on 5 shift in the third period till around ten minutes remaining but was on for multiple shorthanded shifts and then continued to play with McMichael and Cozens. In the end, Holloway finished with no points and 15:52 (second for Canadian forwards) of playing time, but was still effective throughout the whole game.
Broberg & Sweden take on Russia. Gametime is tonight at 7:30pm MT.
