Justin Robidas had a big week scoring 8 points in 3 games. He now leads all draft eligibles in points with 20 points in 15 games. Robidas has a lot of quality NHL translatable skills. He can really skate, he’s got a hard shot & release, his hockey IQ is very strong and he also has an excellent work ethic. In terms of true centers, it’s probably going to come down to he and Zachary Bolduc as to who will be the best out of this group. Zach Dean, looks to be another quality C but likely 3rd on that list.

Speaking of top prospects, Manix Landry has now become my favourite QMJHL prospect in this draft and top ranked winger from this class over guys like L’Heureux, Roy & Huckins.

Landry plays with a lot of speed & energy. He’s always moving and is a terrific 200 foot player. He also has terrific hands and his wrist shot is electric. I love his hockey IQ. He’s a very smart & deceptive player. He plays physical too quite often finishing his checks which is always a nice bonus. There really are a lot of similarities between Landry and Dawson Mercer last year. Like Mercer, I fully expect Landry’s numbers to take off soon too.

Oliver Nadeau is another guy who isn’t getting a lot of recognition but he plays with a lot of energy for a big guy and quick hands in tight. He’s not afraid to go to the dirty areas and he plays a real power game. He’s similar to Cole Huckins (who probably has the better shot), but is more well-rounded and adds that physical element that makes him the more intriguing prospect.
